Design the Logo for the 2012 Joint Conference

The logo must exemplify the theme of regional “Transformation 2012: Design and Practice in a Global Age”.

Explanation of Theme: The theme of “Design and Practice in a Global Age” well suits the breadth of a multi-regional AIA conference that will
include members from six Western Mountain Region states as well as those from four Northwestern states, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam & Micronesia, Hong Kong and Japan.  Conference topics will explore the international trends, influences, and connections that affect the
profession of architecture and it is the desire of the Conference Committee to have a logo that most creatively recognizes and depicts these global realities.

The Logo may contain the following words as well as the graphic interpretation or representation.

Speakers Wanted for 2012 Joint Regional Conference

Transformation 2012: Design and Practice in a Global Age

Call for Presentations: AIA Western Mountain Region (WMR) & Northwest Pacific Region (NWP) seeks innovative speakers and facilitators for presentations to be offered during the 2012 Joint Conference in Tucson, AZ, October 10-13. This conference will provide the highest amount of Continuing Education Units for Architect members in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Hong Kong and Japan in just 3 days, and will also provide enriching networking and educational opportunities for associates, interns, students, and allied organizations. Selected speakers will have the opportunity to gain visibility and increase their leadership role in the industry by providing valuable information to upward of four hundred conference attendees.

This year’s theme – Transformation 2012: Design and Practice in a Global Age – is a call to AIA Western Mountain Region & Northwest Pacific Region architects to actively expand the role of the architect while transforming the profession as a leader in the design industry. In support of this role, the conference seeks to provide Continuing Education tracks that focus on Interdisciplinary Collaboration; Practice & Education;
Design; Materials & Technology; Leadership; and International Markets. Call for Presentations
