CE Seminar- High Performance Office Design – Tucson

High Performance Office Design
This presentation explores strategies used to design offices that demonstrate drastic reductions in energy use. We begin by examining the Department of Energy’s suggested energy conservation measures for 50% energy reduction against code-minimum structures. Though we are in support of a 50% reduction in all buildings we realize that these strategies may take a decade or more to pay back and may not be feasible for all building types. Therefore, we also examine scaled back strategies that still result in 30% reductions and often have 1 to 2 year playbacks. We call it: “the new normal”.
