CENTRAL ARIZONA
ARCHITECTURE FOUNDATION
GRANT
REQUIREMENTS
- 2007
The Central Arizona Architecture Foundation (“CAAF”) offers
the opportunity for all individuals and organizations residing
in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, including but not
limited to members of the Phoenix Metro Chapter of the American
Institute of Architects (“AIA”), students, design professionals
and others interested in architecture and whose interests are
consistent with the CAAF’s mission to request financial support
for activities, research and projects that provide service,
education and public awareness of architecture, design,
construction, planning and the design professions to the
metropolitan Phoenix area. Proposals for all grant requests
must be submitted in writing to the CAAF Board of Directors for
evaluation. A subcommittee of the CAAF Board of Directors will
determine which requests will be funded each year, but reserves
the right to reject all proposals. Though not encouraged, some
grant requests may extend beyond the current year if the
circumstances of the grant so warrant.
In selection of grant recipients, the CAAF will give greater
consideration to proposals that will:
-

“seed money” used to encourage additional funding for
architectural educational programs to be carried out by the
recipient, or by others;
-
Work for
the benefit of a substantial number of PM/AIA members and
the citizens of metropolitan Phoenix;
-
Offer

excellence in the metropolitan Phoenix area;
-
Further the
CAAF mission to educate and make the metropolitan Phoenix

planning in an urban setting within the Sonoran Desert;
-
Meets needs
within metropolitan Phoenix that are not otherwise satisfied
by other similar organizations.
Individuals and organizations residing in the greater Phoenix
metropolitan area as well as PM/AIA members are asked to submit
grant requests pursuant to an annual deadline determined and
published by the CAAF Board of Directors from time to time.
Since funds are limited, grant requests submitted after the
deadline may be considered within the sole discretion and at the
pleasure of the CAAF Board of Directors.

following information:
·
Date of Application;
·

Announcement of the grant recipients will be determined by
the CAAF Board of Directors but generally is scheduled for the
annual American Institute of Architects State Conference and

in the news releases by the CAAF. The CAAF will publish
literature highlighting the completed proposals for each year.
Upon receipt of
the grant, the CAAF requests that the grant recipient consent to
a copyright license to allow the CAAF to publish information
related to the proposed project and the grant, and for
fundraising purposes.
