The AIA Phoenix Metro Architecture Month Home Tour Committee has elected to postpone the 2011 AIA Home Tour until Sunday, October 16th. It seems the stars were just not in alignment this Spring, and it has been difficult securing enough homes to stage what we feel will be a successful tour at the quality our guests have come to expect.

On the positive side, October has great weather, the landscape generally looks terrific and there are fewer competing tours to contend with. This will also allow you, our members, more time to submit potential candidates for the tour and to gain permission from the home owners.

We encourage you to submit potential projects for the tour. It’s a great way to demonstrate the value of hiring an architect and to meet prospective clients in an atmosphere that allows you to be at your best, showing off your own work. We will consider homes in differing locations of the Valley and encourage a variety of styles and building types, from single family and renovations to multi-family properties. We look forward to hearing from you and having an opportunity to showcase your talent and the value AIA Architects bring to the community. Please submit your homes to Diana Smith.
