Dear Alexandra,

Greetings! I hope you had a restful holiday and are recharged for the new year. Thank you for honoring me by allowing me to serve as president of AIA Arizona in 2011.

Like many people, I like to start the new year by making a few resolutions. I have learned not to make my goals so momentous that they are overwhelming, but achievable and SMART. S (specific), M (measurable), A (attainable), R (realistic) & T (time specific).
Mine are to get my office organized, improve my skills with SketchUp and read more non-fiction books.

I would encourage you to set some goals and share them with your spouse or a close friend, so that they can provide some encouragement. And if you talk to me, tell me what your goals are and ask me how I’m doing on mine!

Joe Worrall, AIA
2011 AIA Arizona President
